Description

Ingredients

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, basil, salt, pepper, and egg until well blended.
  3. Carefully fill each cooked shell with the cheese mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  4. Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange the stuffed shells on top and cover with remaining sauce.
  5. Sprinkle additional mozzarella cheese over the top if desired. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; then remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
