Instructions
- Combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl. Create a well in the center.
- In another bowl, whisk warm milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Pour into the well and mix until combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Place in an oiled bowl covered with plastic wrap to rise for about 1 hour or until doubled.
- Roll out the dough to 1/2 inch thick and cut into donut shapes.
- Heat oil to 375°F (190°C) in a deep pan and fry donuts for about 1 minute on each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form and fill cooled donuts using a piping bag.
