About

Welcome to my kitchen!

Where recipes carry the scent of the sea and the warmth of home.

My name is Tiffani, and the story of this website starts long before I ever stepped into a modern kitchen.
It begins on the coast — in a small fishing town where the sea wasn’t just a view, but a way of life.

My grandfather, whom everyone called “Captain Saïd”, wasn’t a captain by rank, but by heart. He owned a small wooden flouka — a fishing boat painted in faded blues and seafoam green. Every morning before dawn, he’d set out with a thermos of mint tea, a handful of dates, and a quiet prayer whispered to the waves. He wasn’t just chasing fish — he was chasing purpose, peace, and the legacy of those before him.

As a child, I would wait eagerly for his return. The harbor, the smell of salt in the air, the sound of seagulls — all became part of my earliest memories. But what I remember most wasn’t the fish, it was what happened after.
When he’d return, soaked and tired but smiling, my grandmother would begin preparing the feast. We would all gather around a simple wooden table, and that’s where the magic happened.

There were no written recipes, no measurements. Just hands that knew — how much spice to add, how long to simmer, when to taste, and when to wait. These meals weren’t just food — they were stories, told in steam and flavor, passed down like precious heirlooms.

I learned to cook not from books, but from watching — the way my mother stirred the pot without ever looking inside, or how my aunt would fry sardines so crisp they’d melt in your mouth, always singing as she cooked.

Years later, after moving away from the coast and settling in the city, I found myself longing for those flavors, that warmth, that feeling. And so I began recreating them. One dish at a time. With every attempt, I felt closer to home — to the boat, the sea, the family.

That’s how TiffaniRecipes.com was born.

This isn’t just a recipe site. It’s a journey. A floating kitchen, if you will — where every post is a memory, every dish a destination, and every visitor a part of this voyage. Whether you’re here looking for comfort food, traditional dishes, or something quick and joyful to make after a long day — I welcome you aboard.

From the rhythm of the waves to the rhythm of the kitchen,
this is my tribute to the sea, to family, and to the timeless power of food to bring us back to where we belong.
Welcome to my kitchen. Welcome to the journey.
