  • 1 cup warm milk

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let it sit until bubbly (about 5 minutes).
  2. In another large bowl, whisk together flour and salt.
  3. Mix melted butter and the yeast mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
  4. Knead on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl covered with a damp cloth to rise in a warm place until doubled (about 1 hour).
  5. Punch down the dough, divide into equal portions, and shape each into balls. Place them close together in greased baking pans.
  6. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
